More Than Honey-makers

  • (private location) Berlin Germany (map)

Bees were recently declared the “most important animal on the planet.” But why? More than merely honey-makers, they help plants have sex. It’s claimed that bees are responsible for pollinating 70 of the top 100 crops that humans eat — and they contribute to the flowering and fruiting of countless others. Apples and berries, almonds and zucchinis, herbs and even coffee. Without bees, it’s predicted that humans wouldn’t survive long. We certainly would have a boring and colorless diet.

During this private formal honey tasting, guests will be introduced to the fascinating world of bees, and in the process, learn how honey is made, what it’s comprised of, why each is unique, and how to smell, taste, and describe six different varietals from around the world.
