Greek Honey Tasting

  • TEE.SALON.IKI Böckhstraße 50 10967 Berlin Germany (map)

**SOLD OUT**

In 2019 bees were declared the "most important animal on the planet." But do you know why?

Come learn about these fascinating golden creatures of the wind, who not only produce delicious honey (in Greek mythology, called "the nectar of the Gods") but who are also responsible for pollinating nearly one-third of everything we eat.

In the charming setting of TEE.SALON.IKI, an intimate group will be led on a story that spans continents, through millennia, dances on your tongue and then nourishes your body. You will learn how honey is produced, why each varietal is different due to terroir (a term used to explain the uniqueness of wines), how to describe the many flavors you taste, what beneficial medicinal properties honey possesses, and how to pair different monoflorals with different cheeses, fruits, nuts, and other foods.

This 2.5-hour tasting features a seasonal honey-infused cocktail, brief presentation on bees, in-depth explanation about honey, sensorial games, tasting of six Greek varietals, and light food pairing.

Places are limited and advance tickets are required. Tickets can be bought here.

This event is a co-production with TEE.SALON.IKI.

TEE.SALON.IKI is a tea salon and specialty shop for organic Greek honey, herbs, olive oil, and other natural products in direct cooperation with primarily small-scale producers in Greece. Guests can enjoy freshly brewed teas, homemade cakes, and snacks in a cozy atmosphere.
